Plant Description - The Red Sunset Maple is fast growing hybrid red maple tree. This Acer rubrum cultivar was developed by J. Frank Schmidt and Son Nursery. The Red Sunset red maple is one of the best trees you can plant at your home. Red Sunset foliage is a lustrous green in the summer, that changes to brilliant shades of red and orange-red in the fall. It can reach a height of 25 feet and a width of 12 feet at a crown spread in 12 years.
